![]() | Hugh Hartigan | Head of Research Hugh Hartigan has nearly 20 years of public policy experience working in government, including seven years at the Australian Treasury and several years working as a senior advisor in the Australian Parliament before he joined NHFIC in 2019. Hugh’s experience traverses a range of public policy issues including Commonwealth budgets, tax analysis and housing-related policy issues. He has a Bachelor of Commerce, with honours in economics from Macquarie University. |
![]() | Shane Lee | Lead Researcher Shane Lee is an economist and strategist with over 20 years of experience including in ANZ’s global markets business and as a tactical asset analyst in the bank’s wealth and superannuation business. He has held sell-side roles at Citi and CIMB. Prior to working in financial markets, Shane spent three years at the Reserve Bank of Australia focusing on the Australian housing and equity markets. He holds a Graduate Diploma and Masters Degree in Applied Economics, a Masters in the Built Environment, and a Bachelor of Engineering. |
![]() | Ryan Farrow | Senior Researcher Ryan Farrow has broad industry experience in both commercial and residential property with more than eight years at the Property Council of Australia. He worked on the Property Council’s flagship reports including the Office Market Report and supported wider national and state advocacy functions in housing, tax policy, foreign investment and retirement living. |
![]() | Mary Lin | Senior Researcher Mary Lin was seconded to NHFIC from the Reserve Bank of Australia, where she worked in the financial markets group. Mary has previously worked at UBS, proprietary trading and asset management firms, and in an analytics role at Citibank. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies) from the University of Sydney with majors in finance and data analytics. |
![]() | Fintan Gillane | Data and Reporting Fintan has 18 years professional services experience in both the public and private sectors. He holds post graduate qualifications in Accounting and Economics and is responsible for data management and reporting. |
![]() | Alicia Hall | Senior Researcher Alicia has extensive research and analytical experience gained from twenty years working in the Commonwealth Government, including most recently, in housing, income and tax related policy at the Parliamentary Library. Alicia holds a Bachelor of Economic (Hons) (University of Sydney) as well as a Masters of Professional Accountancy (University of Canberra). |
