NHFIC is an independent corporate Commonwealth entity dedicated to improving affordable housing outcomes. The National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) is an independent corporate Commonwealth entity, dedicated to improving housing outcomes for all Australians. NHFIC arranges funding for community housing providers and new housing infrastructure projects through the Affordable Housing Bond Aggregator (AHBA) and National Housing Infrastructure Facility (NHIF), supports home ownership by administering the First Home Loan Deposit Scheme (FHLDS) and similar schemes, and provides strategic housing research function to help inform housing policy decisions.
