NHFIC is an independent corporate Commonwealth entity dedicated to improving affordable housing outcomes. We are responsible for providing low-cost, longer tenor loans for community housing providers, financing for new housing infrastructure projects and issuing Government-guaranteed social bonds for investors. We also administer the First Home Loan Deposit Scheme for first home buyers and undertake independent research into housing demand, supply and affordability.
